That would make balancing easier. The old Rageblade was self-amplifying scaling, which was exponentially stronger when combined with the attack speed buff. The new scaling is not as intense, so stacking two is no longer the optimal solution. Other AS items might be better; I'd like to see the old version-dependent champs like Vayne get a proper adjustment.
2. nameless@TFT
It looks like they also made an AD item with infinite stacks called Kraken.
3. nameless@TFT
All scaling items can be made infinitely stronger with time, but Rageblade was special because it was self-scaling.
4. nameless@TFT
I understand that Seraphs will get stronger over time, and since Kraken is supposed to scale with the number of attacks, it could be very strong when combined with Guinsoo and Navoori. It could be the best solution for a heavy attack speed unit.
5. nameless@TFT
Over time, you'll reach the maximum attack speed.

With this rework, Rageblade would be the attack speed version of Archangel Staff... Archangel stacks infinitely, but it's limited by round time, so developers can calculate max stats and it's easier to balance.

Design-wise, it's nice, but I hate it...at TFT.RagebladeI liked the

The problem was that Rageblade was so powerful that it became a must-have for certain champs - Vayne, TF, Aphelios, etc. were useless without it. Hopefully this will make it more flexible.
9. nameless@TFT
But those champs are so much weaker now, and it's going to take time for development to readjust to the new items.
10. nameless@TFT
That's a good thing.

It sucks. I enjoyed the machine gun like attacks, but having more AS in seconds is no fun.
12. nameless@TFT
There is still an artifact version of Rageblade called Flickerblade.
13. nameless@TFT
Artifacts are rare and I liked to build Rageblade every time.
14. nameless@TFT
That's the problem, right? If it's strong enough to build every time, that's a balancing issue.
15. nameless@TFT
If it's strong every time, it's a problem, but there's a difference between making it every time because it's fun and making it every time because it's strong.
16. nameless@TFT
I'm sure this change will allow Rageblade to be combined with Kraken Slayer almost every time.
17. nameless@TFT
Rageblade, Rageblade, Hextech Gunblade...yeah, they're all creative.

I can't believe this item lasted this long. I enjoyed it, but it was a bad design that made the champ useless unless I got Bow and Rod.
