About Wave Theory

After much deliberation and scrutiny of doctoral dissertations, literature reviews, and IRB (investigational review board) submissions on wave theory and #lowrollgate, we have fixed two bugs that affect the number of champions in a pool (and their occurrence in a store).
This should improve the playability of the store somewhat.
Now that these bugs have been found, we will continue to investigate if there are other systems that affect the champion pool.

consideration

This patch will focus on slowing down the pace of matches and diversifying builds by reworking items/roles (roles).
The supply of artifacts will also be curtailed, and the overall tempo is expected to settle down further.
As a result, 1-2 cost rerolls will return, and the “orthodox progression” of slamming items aggressively and finishing with a Fast 8/9 will become more viable.

In particular, we expect that configurations that utilize the newly enhanced Poppy (Star Guardian, Heavyweight, etc.) and Samira (Soul Fighter/Edge Lord, etc.) will emerge at the top of the meta.
In addition, crew configurations and reroll configurations with Malzahar and Smolder as mainstays are also expected to emerge due to the buffing of Sivia and Jiggs.

In general, it can be said that there are more “winning options” than in the previous patch.
In the beginning, it is important to decide whether to reroll or to steer to Fast8/9, depending on how you spend your time.
